Our 50 plus members are a dedicated and well trained group that takes great pride in the services we provide.
Our members are embedded in the community and are also heavily involved in local events. We enjoyed meeting TRUMPET, the Westminster Kennel Club 2022 Best In Show Winner when he passed through town for a visit.
We live and work in this county, our families live and work in this county, we are dedicated to serving the people of Essex County....and we are always looking for dedicated people to join our team!!

The Tappahannock-Essex Volunteer Fire Department is an all-volunteer force of first responders to emergencies involving firefighting, fire suppression, emergency medical care, specialized rescue, motor vehicle accidents, marine rescue, residential and commercial fires, brush fires, and hazardous material response.
